Elite Group’s Remote Working Campaign helps businesses across the UK

Elite Group’s technology HQ at Wrexham is supporting businesses throughout Wales, the UK and beyond during this period of national emergency, where reliance on Technology, Communications and Secure Remote Working solutions is greater than ever.

The Coronavirus pandemic’s adverse impact on businesses across the world, not least the UK, has been well reported.  The UK Government originally estimated that up to a fifth of workers may be unable to go into work at the height of the outbreak; in reality, experts believe this figure is likely to be much higher.

The team at Elite Wrexham (formerly MWL Systems) is taking the regional lead in these unprecedented times.  The company is maintaining business continuity and support for its customers, past and present, and is reaching out to help any business or organisation needing advice in order to overcome the many challenges of continuing to run day-to-day business, look after staff and maintain employment numbers.

Remote working solutions are becoming the lifeblood for successful businesses, being the single most important enabler for companies of any size and in any sector to continue operating successfully in these challenging times.

Matt Kingsley-Williams, Elite Group’s Director of IT Operations, is leading Elite’s business-critical programme of offering help and support to as many businesses as possible.  He has said:

We are committed to helping businesses maintain their productivity during this challenging period, which requires us all to embrace new working methods and environments.  Our mantra has become work is what you do, not where you go!  There are many ways that we at Elite Group can help you and your business to implement flexible, remote working quickly and efficiently, so that your workforce is able to work from home or from any location at any time.

We ourselves enacted our remote working policy within 24 hours of the Government’s Coronavirus announcement on Monday 16th March, which stated those who could work from home should do so.

By Friday of the same week, 95% of our 250-strong team were working from home productively, then 100% by the following Monday.  As a testament to the success of our remote working transition and the resilience, talent and can-do attitude of all our team members, during that week we had some of the best customer service ratings we have ever received.”

Matt concluded: “We understand that current events impact us all and our team is on hand to help.  For those that don’t have any remote working procedures in place, we are able to provide a free and thorough analysis and recommendations of what systems will work best for your business, and help you to implement these with minimal downtime.  We can also provide a free IT health check to ensure that your team, wherever they are based, is working safely and securely. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you’d like friendly, un-biased guidance.
